The Glass Room - Hampstead Theatre

Last night Marina, Madeline and Rob, my flatmates came with me to see The Glass Room by Ryan Craig, it was brilliant. At first I thought it might be too serious and thought provoking for a Friday night, but it had us intrigued the entire time.

A cast of 4, with the protagonist being a half Jewish lawyer is hired to defend a notorious historian and is enchanted by her, until he discovers the real nature of her crime. This, along with his issues with the land-lady and his dad, are intertwined well in the plot.

It's essentially a paradox....."With this play, the paradox was that of free speech-can you assert free speech even if somebody whose free speech you are defending attacks free speech? Thats the paradox"

It was a bonus being in the front row, plus the theatre is literally 3 minute walk from our apartment.

Ahh, God-bless Andrew for adding me to this charity theatre mailing list....love ya work.
